The first thing that truly pops about this piece is the beautiful expression to the face. The eyes grab the attention from the first moment and don't seem to let go. The proportions on the face are spot on as is the use of light and color. The clothes and somber tones lead the viewer to see the subject as male, but there is just enough androgeny to leave room for doubt. Very nicely achieved. The source of light is consistant and again draws attention to the wonderfully rendered eyes as it seems to reflect back at the viewer. The tones in the hair are also very well rendered. For some reason, the button placement seems off, it could be because the clothing is so dark that you can not see all the folds. The sparks give great movement to the piece and are a wonderful highhlight and suggestive of a soft breeze. However, with that soft breeze, it seems like there should be slightly more movenment to the hair in the bangs and the lock over the shoulder. Overall this is a wonderful piece, very stunning and beautifully thought out and executed.
Wow, just spectacular. Really. It's so different from the old "Sketch 11". It's way more realistic [which I love <3~], plus the coloring in the hair are more sharper, more details ,and more shading. <3 And, the skin is smoother compared to the old one.
Overall this is a wonderful piece, very stunning and beautifully thought out and executed.
